Creating a web page for the festival

The materials we will need are :

• A4 sheet papers
• Pencil/Colour pens
• Adobe Flash CS4
• Internet (to see some examples of web-page designs)
• Colour Printer
• Blogger/Pages (written drafts for the web-page design we are going to create for the festival)
• Animations
• Images
• Music
• Memory stick

We needed these materials for creating our web page for the festival. Firstly, we will be using A4 sheet paper and pencil to draw planning for our web page. When we finish our planning we will be using Adobe flash CS4 to start our web page for the festival. We will be using animation, images and music in the web page. when we finish that, we will be start our writing drafts for each day about our web page which we are going to create for the festival and later we will be keeping our draft in the blogger. After finishing our web page for the festival we will be printing out all our written drafts in the colour printer. Our teacher will be transferring our web page work to his memory stick.

Roles for the festival

Today we started a new unit called 'Festival'. Our teacher told us to we are going to do our own festival which is going to happen in college. Firstly she said we have to research about festivals and asked us to find out about 3 festivals, Glastonbury festival, Thames festival and Edinburgh festival in the UK. I researched on the internet and found out the information which my teacher wanted. Then I wrote the information about the festivals and kept it in my blogger and folder.

Today our teacher gave each person a role for the festival. The roles for our class are:-

I am working with Susan to create a web page for the festival. We have to make our own ideas and work together.

Courtinie’s role is director for the festival and she has responsibility for the radio play that will be taking place in the festival.

Helen and Tanjiana are in charge of the whole festival. They have to make sure everything goes well during the festival.

Reece task is to make a flyer and advertisement for the festival. 

Denish and Patrick task is a technician and they are responsible for the electronics work for the festival. 

Iguano task is music for the festival. 

Emmanuella task is to look at the for our festival. She will make sure all the prices and sale information goes well for the festival.

Today, we are working with our web page. We made lots of mistakes in our animation like images didn’t work properly and we mixed up all the images work. We also have a problem with our radio play and radio play advert because we didn’t have our radio play with us and we didn’t finish the radio advert. Then we changed our mind and we decided we are not going to do the radio play and radio play advert. As for the video we didn’t have time to finish it so we decided to remove the video. For the 'Music' our animation teacher showed us to put the music in the web page. Firstly we tried to import the music we had made from logic pro 8 but this did not work. So he tried other music from the internet to show us how to put music onto the web page and this worked. He said he will help us later to put our own music on the web page. The web page is nearly completed apart from the music.

Today, we started doing animation for the web-page design. We found it difficult to put animation on the texts although we had both learned some animation for our web page design. We had help from our teacher who teaches us animation. We took 3 or 4 hours to do our animation for our web page. We found some problems in the computer system with our music work, we tried lots of times to put in own our batman theme but it didn’t work.Then we decided to do it later.
